The new IONIQ 9 utilizes the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) just as its cousins, the Kia EV9 and IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6 do. Those are all award winners and we know it's inevitable the IONIQ 9 will be, too. Like the EV9, the IONIQ 9 will feature a single motor and rear-wheel drive or dual motors with all-wheel drive. Power will be in the 215 horsepower range for the rear-drive model and a standard version of all-wheel drive version will start in the 300-hp range. A high-performance all-wheel drive model will be available with a maximum of approximately 422 horsepower. The driving range is around 335 miles with the rear-wheel drive model. All electric motors are powered by a 110.3 kWh lithium-ion battery. One of the unique features of the IONIQ 9 is its Bi-directional charging feature. It allows the new IONIQ 9 to get a charge from the home. But that's not all: If necessary, it can be used to power a home.
The IONIQ 9 is no slouch in the towing arena either. The company says the IONIQ 9 can tow trailers up to 5,000 lbs. Hyundai engineers have even installed a load-leveling rear suspension so the IONIQ 9 always remains level, regardless of the load.

The new IONIQ 9 features stylized fender openings with bold, broad shoulders and subtle brushed metal accents. It confirms the view that the new IONIQ 9 is the new Hyundai flagship that it is. Futuristically-designed matrix LED lighting illuminates your route while vertical brake lights bring up the rear.
The Ioniq 9 interior is defined by spaciousness
The interior includes a lounge-like atmosphere with room for six- or seven passengers depending on the seating you have selected. It starts with the dashboard's dual-curved 12.3-inch display screens placed horizontally for a nearly 25-inch wide array. Hyundai also introduces Feature on Demand to download new apps as they become available.
There's also first row relaxation seats with dynamic massage. The center console between the seats moves forward and backward allowing for pass-through access from front to back. Finally, there are nine 100w USB-C ports spread throughout the cabin. That way you can charge your phone, your laptop or even your mirrorless cameras. And did we mention how quiet the interior is? That's thanks to its acoustically-laminated glass, with noise control. The new IONIQ 9 isn't just a people hauler. It can carry a load up to 86.9 total cubic feet of space, when the second and third row seats are folded.
