The 2012 Hyundai
Tucson comes in three different trim levels: GL, GLS and Limited. The
2012 edition of the Tucson offers two different engine choices. The base
GL comes equipped with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that
produces 165 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque. The GLS and
Limited models sport a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine that
produces 176 horsepower and 168 pound-feet of
torque.
The GL trim comes standard with a 5-speed
manual transmission, with an optional 6-speed automatic transmission
with SHIFTRONIC, which comes standard on every other model.
Additionally, all models come standard with FWD, with AWD available for
the GLS and Limited trims. MPG ratings range from 20/city, 27/highway,
23/combined on the GL manual build and 23/city, 31/highway, 26/combined
on the automatic, to 22/city, 32/highway, 25/combined on all other FWD
builds and 21/city, 28/highway, 23/combined for builds with

Standard features for the base
2012 Hyundai Tucson GL are plentiful. They include remote keyless entry
system with alarm, solar front glass and privacy rear glass, air
conditioning, power windows with driver's auto-down and power door
locks, 160-watt AM/FM/XM/CD/MP3 audio system with 6 speakers, 60/40
split fold-down rear seatbacks for added storage capacity, and
multi-function trip computer. Notable upgrades for the GLS trim include
alloy wheels, exterior and interior design improvements,
tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, steering wheel-mounted Bluetooth
hands-free phone system, and heated front seating with the AWD
model.
The Limited trim steps things up with added
