Perfomance
With 260 horsepower, the Veracruz 3.8L aluminum block V6 engine offers 257 pound-feet of torque. The Continuously Variable Valve Timing system boosts fuel efficiency by synchronizing the intake and exhaust valves to widen the power band. If you're looking for smooth and effortless power, an advanced six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC comes standard with the Veracruz, allowing the driver to change gears on demand. Preset shift patterns for uphill, inclement weather and performance driving conditions are also included. The front suspension - an independent MacPherson Strut with twin-tube gas shock absorber design - uses coil springs, gas-charged shocks and a 27-millimeter stabilizer bar. The multi-link rear suspension with gas shock absorber and high tensile steel unibody frame work together to deliver precise handling and a quiet, enjoyable ride. The Veracruz is also equipped with full-time All Wheel Drive for excellent traction and accurate control. In addition, the power steering senses the engine speed and provides more assistance at slower speeds and less at highway speeds. The power four-wheel disc brakes come with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist. |

Standard Features and Options
The 2012 Hyundai Veracruz, which seats seven, features several appealing exterior elements - including halogen headlights, a sculpted hoodline, wide-stance 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, roof rack side rails, UV windows/windshield and heated power side mirrors with turn-signal indicators and approach lights - that give it a more modern feel. LIMITED models have 18-inch Hypersilver alloy wheels, auto-dimming side mirrors, tilt-in-reverse side mirrors, windshield wiper de-icer, power tilt-and-slide sunroof with one-touch open, power tailgate and chrome accent exterior door/tailgate handles as additional options.
The upscale features inside the Veracruz include a modern leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel with audio and cruise controls, woodgrain accents, second-row climate control and a single-touch Bluetooth hands-free phone system with iPod/USB and auxiliary input jacks. The window switches, power locks, mirror controls and other dials and air vents are placed as ergonomically as possible. The Veracruz boasts low door sills, expanded head room and larger doors, adding up to more than 150 cubic feet of interior volume. The Veracruz also includes an eight-way power driver seat. The LIMITED model has additional features, such as dual front automatic temperature control, power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, memory settings and Proximity Key that unlocks the vehicle when you touch a button on the door handle. Heated front and rear seats and leather seating surfaces are also options on the LIMITED model. |

The Veracruz's standard active and passive safety features, such as the front seat active head restraints, stiff unibody, advanced suspension, bodyside reinforcement, roof-mounted three-point seatbelts, hood-buckling creases, crumple zones and power window lock-out button work to keep you safe in case of an accident. Six airbags adjust deployment speed based on impact and seat position. LATCH child seat tether anchors, an energy-absorbing steering column and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) are additional safety measures.
